Derek's 30!

This wonderful man of mine turned 30 in June.  It's a little crazy that I've been with him for 12 birthdays!  

We actually started our birthday date with our favorite ice cream, Pumphouse Creamery, only because our dinner reservation wasn't until 9:00 and it would've been closed by the time we got done eating.

Then we had some time before dinner, so we walked along the river, it was perfect.  It's not often, after having kids, to get a nice and quiet night out, that's not rushed.

Milkapalooza 2013

It was great to get outside for Milkapalooza this year, for our 4th time.  However, it had rained a ton and rain boots were kind of a necessity.  It was also a little disappointing there weren't pony rides this year, but I'm sure there was a good reason.  Derek's family was in town to join us and we had fun!

Father's Day 2013

We've had such a busy summer and I have some catching up to do. 

Derek is such an awesome dad.  He's always finding fun stuff for us to do as a family.  He's so patient with Hakan and Adeline, much more than me for sure.  He loves them with all his heart and shows it.  I'm so thankful for him and what he means to our family.  We had  a lovely Father's Day going to the MN Zoo Aveda Butterfly Garden, both ours and the kids favorite place in the summer.

Our wonderful church, Southland, made these for the dad's, so cute!

We are super blessed to have Derek in our lives:)
