Christmas Cookies

I am a little behind on getting up my Christmas posts...it's been a little busy around here.  So be ready for a few in the next couple of days:)

We made sugar cookies when we were back home in ND at my mother-in-law, Wendy's house.  We made this recipe I found on pinterest.  They are really good and soft!  I also think they are almost impossible to burn, they just don't, weird I know.

Hakan had a good time using the cookie cutters with grandma and I learned that my husband, whom I've known for 11 years, is very much a traditionalist when it comes to the colors on Christmas cookies.  He maybe used the blue sprinkles and frosting a couple times, but very few.  He's a green and red kind of guy...apparently, still learning new things about him:)

I think I'm more of a just sprinkles and not frosting kind of gal, a little too sweet for me.

We still have some in the freezer, yum!

When I saw the picture of Hakan making the cookies, it reminded me my childhood when my brother Luda (12 months younger than me) and I were doing the same. We used to had those little wooden stools to stand on so we could rech the kitchen counter top:) one of the best memories...:)
